Xeron
A large lithe body entered the green covered forest. It was lush and soft underfoot. The smell was crisp and cool. Xeron sighed and closed his eyes for a second before opening. A bird sounded an alarm call over head. But prey was not what Xeron was searching for here. Actually he really did not know what he was looking for but he was looking for something and he would know what it was once he found it. Quickly he ducked under and overhanging branch and continued his blind quest onward toward the center of the swampy forest. Small twigs and bracken poked in to his sides as he traveled and the once wet moss became and inch of gooey mud that layered over his large paws. By now his head and tail were damp from the dew on the lush green pine needles. It was obviously early morning and the sun had just come up. This was Xeron's favorite time- a peaceful time- and not much happened at this time. But Xeron knew to well that that can change in an instant.

Trotting through the thick swamp was definitely not an easy task. Tae had to lift each leg as it was sucked back down into the goo. She didn't have trouble with it since she was such a strong retriever, but it made her beautiful silky coat feel matted and sticky. Tae enjoyed flouncing around showing off her beauty, but now she had to feel the ickyness of the goop on her legs. Hearing the squawk of a bird made Tae completely alert of the situation. Her ears perked up but still flopped over. The only way her golden ember ears wouldn't flop downwards was if she flicked her head up and they got stuck that way. Whenever her ears did that she looked much cuter than normal, even though she was cute no matter what. Tae yipped at the bird who's call seeped through the air. She had now made herself known to anyone who was around. Tae didn't know that there was another so near, but that was because her focus was on her legs simply being able to move through the muck. She was determined to get out of the swamp she accidentally leaped into. Then she would have to clean herself up. Ew.

The feeling of being watched flooded over Xeron but when he turned around no one was in site. But he could smell it to, a canine and she was near. Suddenly he herd a yip, Defiantly not a wolf, ick why do dogs follow us wolfs around everywhere? He sighed and turned around. He kept having the feeling that he had to watch over dogs, they seemed to have the tendency to get in more trouble than a wolf. Xeron continued sloshing though the thick mud traveling back they way he had come. Finally he saw a yellowish gold color up ahead. Why was a golden retriever here? Xeron noticed that she, unlike other retrievers seemed to dislike the mud to a high extent. Hello ma'am, his deep wolf voice sang through the air to the golden. I am Xeron. What is your name? He took a step toward the female with his bright eyes watching her intently.

Now seeing this wolf up ahead made tae feel even better about being here. Wolves were always so stuck up, they thought they were so much better than everyone else. Well look at the purebreds. They're much higher in class and perfection, why should those wolves think they were any better than a dog. Tae looked that wolf up and down, and then realized that he, unlike so many other wolves, didn't seem to be so vain. Humph... she rolled her eyes and then looked down at her disgusting gooey legs that were stuck in the yuck. She sighed and looked back up to the wolf as she heard him speak. What did he want with her? Xeron, eh? What's that supposed to mean.. She tried taking the focus off of her giving the wolf her name. Tae wasn't going to trust a wolf so easily as to tell him her name. Once someone knew another's name, well then they could do much with just that. Tae wasn't about to give herself away to a total stranger, let alone a wolf.

Xeron squinted his brown optics as the purebred rolled her eyes. Its OK Xeron. Thats what happens when you come along a purebred. They know nothing, you are the expert. He told himself. Then the retriever asked what Xeron meant. You little smart ass! He snarled to himself and looked at the Fae sternly.
"I don't know what Xeron means....probibly brave. But whatever it means it fits me!" He spoke in a devilish tone. He wondered how the Fae would react to his words. It made him smirk as he thought of her running clumsily though the mud, in fear. Who cares what he name was now. Xeron was going to tease her a bit! See how she would respond to that! Ha! He looked at the retriever waiting for her reply. The more humorous the more fun Xeron will have.

Wow, snarling to yourself? That sure did much huh. Tae chuckled to herself as the brute looked possessed snarling to himself. If you were going to snarl, snarl at someone else. Why would you show yourself a sign of aggression unless you hated yourself or were just plain retarded. Whatever it were, he had snarled to himself, and made himself look quite unusually funny. Brave... Now something funny about that was that 'Xeron' didn't seem all that brave. He appeared to be a fool, but who was Tae to judge. She might as well give the guy a chance right? And so, Tae decided to respond with a quick witty answer to his 'smart' response. Now what if it meant idiot. I mean afterall, you said 'whatever it means it fits me!', right? Therefore, you could be calling yourself an idiot, or something terrible like that. So unless you know that true meaning, I wouldn't go round telling others that your name fits you. A smirk grew upon the black lips of the retriever. Oh what a clever child she was being at the moment. A sassy one at that as well. Tae wasn't about to to throwing herself at the filthy mutt, she had other plans that were much more exciting then that of serving a 'king'.

Xeron's jaw dropped wide open in dismay. How dare she say that to a wolf? Xeron narrowed his eyes and looked at the dog threateningly. "It is not wise for you to talk to a wolf in that way," he spoke smoothly in a calm but devilish tone. He took another step toward the femme. "But I do remember my mom telling me what it means, unfortunately I can't remember. I can assure you that it is not anything bad though, my mother would have never done that." Xeron slurred wile cracking a crooked smile. He turned his head slowly and looked off in to the distance.
Now how 'bout getting you out of that mud?" He asked in a normal tone. Slowly he turned around and waited for the femme to follow. (wip: I have to make it longer...:/)
